Through the study and interrogation of the relationship between space and light, echoing the properties of light, a collection of printmaking works that aim to explore the intricately complex nuances in the representation of a subject that walks in the line between the physical and the metaphysical.
Window and Shadow: A print to capture the directional property of light through the simplest mean, and yet also produces an illusionary spatial effect.
Three Spotlights: A print to capture and represent the subtlety and nuances of overlapping spotlights, making the light into a physical form;
Two Rooms: The manipulation of gradients symbolise the intensity of light sources, creating a sense of spatial depth within the form of two rooms;
A Sphere: A print that captures the radiating depth when a light source projects onto a sphere, creating a sense of physicality without the actual object;
Medium: Black and white relief print with gold letterpress on 300g Somerset Satin paper, kraft poster tubes with gold folio labels
